Deep within the badlands of South Texas rages a war along the Rio Grande River. Terror and mayhem abound as a ruthless drug kingpin known as El Gallo (The Rooster), transports drugs through every entry point into Texas. Gideon, a Washington Post reporter, travels to the border to investigate the atrocities committed by El Gallo and his wrecking crew. Gideon teams up with Drake, the local ranting and raving alcoholic reporter who has followed the drug war for ten years. The two reporters hit the streets of Mexico and are nearly killed every step of the way as they observe the activities of the drug cartel. |
